Caring for the carers
In June 2022 Aegis 24/7 partnered with a large Australian state government, to discover the safety and risk profile of workers in the aged care and disability sectors. The outcome sought is to identify technology opportunities, that work to reduce worker injuries and harms in the workplace.

This study has been launched as a result of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, with findings being handed down early 2021.
The key objectives of the project are to:
- Identify the injury and harm profile for workers in the aged care and disability sectors.
- The service models used by providers for patients primarily receiving hospital at home care.
- Discover worker profiles and pain points / gains sought in relation to preventing injuries and managing risk.
- Discover the appetite and capability to adopt a technological solution to reduce injuries and harms.
Aegis 24/7 is proud to be associated with this project and we look forward to talking to people in the aged care and disability sectors, to discover how we can work to prevent and reduce injuries in the workplace.
